I would have loved to see this one had it been minus Mr. Smarty Pants..

He is not smart for sure and the words he is using, you bet he is doing so to sound fancy rather than knowing when and where to actually use them..

Correct.. we manifest consciously as well as subconsciously 24/7.. so what he said is not wrong.

What he said has happened to me..You might wish for something so fiercely but inner feeling tells you it wont happen..You are staying positive but in reality you lack confidence in the thing you are attempting and gradually negative thought cloud your subconscious mind...Unfortunately mind is very powerful and you have to put control on ur thoughts...else all the bad things get manifested

Like someone mentioned, he probably meant it in a "You attract what you fear" way.

It doesn't mean he knew it from the DAY 1 that his films would flop.

Obviously he is not going to trash his own films.

So several people have talked about how you can manifest negativity into your work or life the same way you can positivity. I get that in theory. I just didn’t get that vibe from Varun when he said it.

I think he meant that he knew right away the movie was gonna be bad. Possibly the moment he was offered the movie hence his explanation of how sometimes you sign a movie for money. And that’s why I have a hard time believing him because Kalank was planned and executed as a big blockbuster movie. It’s another story that it didn’t pan out that way but that was everyone’s intention including Varun’s IMO.

As for taking an innocent comment and dissecting it, isn’t that what we do best at IF?

Why doesn't he accept, HE CAN'T ACT ? At most he is mediocre.

Apart from Badalapur none of his movies is even worth a watch. Even in Badalapur it was Nawaz bhai who stole the show.

Poor Varun couldn't find the right words.I've seen other actors explain the same concept better in Roundtables. When they have been in the industry long enough and have had enough experience, sometimes they can tell at least half way into the making, that it will be a flop. Watch an actors filmography on a loop and you can see certain movies where they just sleep-walk through.

Varun has become such a disappointment overtime.
