As you get ready to watch the magnum opus 'Salaam-e-Ishq' arriving on the theatres this Friday, we bring to you some behind the film facts, the revelation of which would make the watch more exciting. Six heroes, six heroines and a super hit director, the proceedings are bound to be superb. While the male starcast comprise Salman Khan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Sohail Khan, the female lineup reads Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Ayesha Takia, Juhi Chawla, Shannon Esrechowitz and Isha Koppikar. As the film gets ready to hit the theatres, director Nikhil Advani makes sure you've an engaging time watching six love stories in one screen.
After 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' two Khan brothers Salman Khan and Sohail Khan come together in this film. But their roles are far apart. While Salman plays a rockstar, Sohail plays a farmer Ramdayal and Isha Koppikar is paired opposite him.
Priyanka plays a wannabe actress in the film. She is an item girl obsessed with Karan Johar so much so that she adds another 'k' into her name making it 'Kkamini'. Karan Johar factor doesn't end here itself. Advani was inclined to have Karan in the cameo in the film but later settled for a voiceover by the director. Also there are two songs in the film that were originally composed for Johar's production 'Kal Ho Na Ho', the first film directed b Advani.
South African actress Shannon Esra makes her debut in the film and will be seen as a New Yorker here. Shannon is actually a brunette but has dyed her hair blonde for the role in the film.
Advani calls this film as 'an exhausting experience' for the shooting of the film has stretched over four months. Also this is the first Hindi film to be screened digitally in theatres.
If you enjoyed going through this stuff, imagine how much you would enjoy watching the film!
