Bachchhan Pandey has seen a drop in collections on day two and will collect in the 11 crore nett range as multiplexes show drops in business with the audience preferring The Kashmir Files. The mass belts have not like they do on Saturday due to the Holi factor as single screens gain from the day before. Gujarat / Saurashtra which was very good on Friday has seen a major drop.
The problem for the film is the multiplex business and a mass film like this cant afford to be second choice over the first weekend. There could be growth in circuits where Holi is celebrated over an extended period like UP, MP and Rajasthan and also in Maharashtra where many single screens did open yesterday the metros, Gujarat and Punjab will have noticeable drops.
The Kashmir Files is super strong on its second Saturday with collections set to be in the 24-25 crore nett range which will be the highest day for the film so far and a bigger day on Saunday to come. The film is roughly on par with the second weekend of Bahubali - The Conclusion and that with the competition of Bachchhan Pandey.
North India continues its huge run as in East Punjab it becomes the highest Hindi grosser post the pandemic and Delhi / UP will also achieve the same in a day or two. On Sunday the film may well hit capacity issues and if it does not cross the 30 crore nett it will be only because of the possible capacity issues at multiplexes.
