Anyone else remember movies like Beta, Raja and Ishq?

I was listening to some old 90s songs and remembered how ridiculous these movies were. They were all directed by Indra Kumar (who has since moved on to shitty comedy movies) and were pretty successful.

In movies like Dil, Beta, Raja and Ishq the villians are usually some relatives who do really evil wtf things to the MC and their love interest and the worst part is how they are always forgiven.

Remember how in Beta the evil stepmother had the father tortured and treated like shit for years and evil tried to poison Madhuri's character? Or how in Ishq how the fathers again had Kajol's character get sexually assaulted so Aamir's character can come and beat up the creeps and they get some "intimate" photos to fool the others (who actually believe their fathers)?

These movies have aged worse than other family/romance drama's from the 90s like HAHK and DDLJ

I know but Dil is also one of those ridiculous movies I was talking about (mentioned it in my post)
