Ranveer may not be a superstar, but he is a versatile actor to boot and a great filmography as well, who does more than coming off age man-child roles and RK fandom can gloat as much as they want, we will have the last laugh when Brahmastra releases 😃

Pushpa got double the opening of Simmba, is also going to get a bigger lifetime figure despite releasing in Covid times.

Gully Boy had Alia and Simmba had Rohit Shetty. It wasn't just Ranveer bringing in the numbers and both movies still got an opening in the range of 20 Crores. Like I said, that's his limit!

Ranveer is also an overrated actor. But 83 being a good or bad movie or Ranveer being a good or bad actor is my personal opinion. What is an undeniable fact is that Ranveer is NOT a Superstar!

Bringing in Brahmastra or Ranbir won't change the fate of 83. We'll see what happens when that movie releases, and world won't end even if Brahmastra Flops so there's no such thing as last laugh Lmao.

It is yaar..

I mean what does either Ranbir or Bramhastra gotta do with Ranveer and 83?

If comparison is a must, lets compare 83 with Dhoni and Ranveer with SSR..

BTW, what is the actual budget of the movie, Awaam??

Last I have seen the budget has come down drastically from 270 billion to 125 billion?

So don't it at least need to make 300 billion to be declared a hit?(I am assuming that 10% profit vis-a-vis cost is enough for a movie to get the tag)..

83 is now in trouble for a scene in which a character mocks quota/reservations and all over Twitter and FB it is being called casteist and anti SC/ST communities with this one dialogue

The movie is not even bad..people talk about how its all about CONTENT these days and then dumb masala shit like Sooryavanshi is successful while a good movie like this flops.

I guess this movie's failure has woken up many fans.

he and nice to know you follow my comments 😃 He is a superstar to me and many other people I know and the No 1 actor we have today, who has no beef with anyone in the industry and yet he also gets dragged in many threads in this forum pertaining to RK, Vicky, DP etc, and the way he is getting mocked in this thread, when this movie has faced a lot of unforeseen unexpected issues post release..yes the opening day figures were low and I am still not sure why, because I have only seen people rave about the movie and everyone has only nice things to say about..atleast the classes.

People always love it when a star fails for once. Ranveer has had a good streak for a few years now but sadly this movie ended it even though its pretty good.

Indian audiences are just weird sometimes. People say its more about content these days which is bs, dumb masala movies still make tons of money.

I don't think the comparison with SSR and Dhoni biopic is also fair (apart from acting perfomance).

Yeah I'm also seeing the budget coming down to 125 Billion.😆

But honestly even if the budget is 270 Billion, producers must have recovered most of the money by selling digital, satellite and music rights.

What matters is at what cost movie was sold to the distributors after that. And even then, movies don't need to do the double of that to be declared a Hit. Verdicts are not that strict anymore.

Is it me or do films starring married couples rarely become hits?

Ash and Abhishek never gave hits after marriage. IDK if Saifeena gave a hit after marriage?

I do not recall any star couples who managed to give hits after marriage. Except maybe Amitabh and Jaya in Sholay and K3G.
