I think it is the south industry PR and their tske over of BW..plus greed of the trade handles . Everytime they fawned over Pushpa..they got thousands and thousands of followers more. Now they are going crazy. No fandom is as crazy about BO as Telugu fans and they are now following samosa , Boi, Toran uncle and others.There are millions on twitter. We will see more sucking up in coming weeks and months

It is embarrassing to see the trade handles bend ovet and lie back and well😷 for Telugu films and stars.

They have no loyalty towards the hindi film industry. Allu is their new God.

Having said that, I believe 83 bombed at BO because the trailer failed to establish one prominent angle for the audience to root for.

Kapil was the captain, and he was a significant figure, no doubt about that but other cricketers have their own fanbases, yet the trailer scarcely featured any of them, simply stating their names at the end isn’t enough .

I suppose it was done so because Ranveer Singh is a greater star in the cast, but not everyone from the 1980s cares about Ranveer Singh; they care about the cricketers, and the movie trailer failed to do them justice.

The underdogs winning WC was touching aspect, but was not effectively conveyed; instead of looking genuine and provoking sympathies for the squad, scenes in the trailer came out as an overly dramatic attempt to showcase 83 WC .

The trailer was poorly constructed, and it failed to pique the interest of the majority of viewers in the film.

Its competitors, on the other hand, had more buzz (Spider-Man) and freshness (Pushpa) .

In short , 83 didn’t look like a flim one would want to watch after suffering through 2 years of pandemic.

I'm not a fan of either one but they all have their flop movies.

They weren't disasters, were they? Not so much money or expectations from either kd or befikre. Both went very quietly out of the theatre.

Befikre at least had entertaining songs.

83 Second Saturday Box Office

83 (Hindi) collected 7-7.25 crore nett on its second Saturday which is probably the best day since release as it did not under perform and matched the trend of the successful films like Pushpa (Hindi) and Spiderman - No Way Home. Till date this film was being left behind as in days the growth should come it was always lagging the other two films.

Postponement of Jersey has given it bit of life, it's still a disaster.

Lol some people still trying to convince themselves that 83 is a Hit.

It's a Flop, not because of Omicron but because the audience has rejected the movie. Pushpa only in Hindi version is going to make more money than 83 which proves the audience doesn't give a shit about their safety.

Even the opening of 11 Crores shows how overrated is the stardom of Ranveer Singh. Without corona and 50% occupancy it still would've reached only 20 Crores on first day. That's his limit!

83 is a Flop rejected film and Ranveer is no Superstar. Accept it and move on!

Atleast it is a good movie that met an unfortunate fate..Pushpa is a full blown masala movie, if Ranveer would have come up with another Simbaa, that would have also had a magnificent opening..remember the very offbeat Gully Boy also opened to pretty good numbers!

Ranveer may not be a superstar, but he is a versatile actor to boot and a great filmography as well, who does more than coming off age man-child roles and RK fandom can gloat as much as they want, we will have the last laugh when Brahmastra releases 😃
