It would face competition from No Way Home, Jersey and RRR. Sooryavanshi had no competition from any big film.

The only Bollywood films based on Cricket which have done huge business at box office are Lagaan and MSD biopic. Cricket might be a big deal in India but it's not necessary that the fans of the sport would also be fans of movies or Bollywood.

Although this movie is not just about Cricket but a historic event so that's it's USP.

Same thing that helped Spiderman will help 83..Young audience

WOM is great . The movie will gradually perform well in box office however only coming days will decide whether it will get a hit tag as the budget is high .

With the kind of budget 83 is made on, it seems extremely difficult for it to make a substantial ROI, unless they strike a good deal with prime or netflix

So film will not do well ??

83 boring documentary. If your making a movie on cricket at least try and make it entertaining and engaging for audience, trailer also looked dull and was specially made to impress the white man. Lagaan, CDI dangal JTWS those movies were at least entertaining to watch and touched the common man, 83 just put me to sleep, even Patiala House is more entertaining to watch.
