For overall feel: original (dance, expressions, picturization - all match)

Which is more watchable : Remake (Because Akshay and Katrina both have same expressions ..smiling throughout, so isn't that raunchy compared to original)

Dance : Liked Katrina's dance more

I see nothing hot or sexy. Mind you, If I ever saw a woman dancing like that at 3:00am, I’d throw a crucifix at her and run.

In conclusion

In my professional opinion the new version was better only because Katrina dances way better and I don’t have to do a somersault and backflip just to change the channel when Raveen’s exorcism is being performed.

I have square finger nails. 🥺

The first one was tacky. Had a B grade vibe to it. Maybe because of her puff sleeves idk But Raveena danced well. And Akshay was alright. The squirming looks weird now but back when it was made it made perfect sense, everyone was repressed and horny so that must have been symbolism xD. It's hard to make the pallu fall in a certain way and keep dancing so Raveena gets extra points for that.

The new one is ridiculous. Katrina tries to look sensuous but ends up looking creepy. Akshay has his trademark goofy smile on and that awful undercut. Katrina just can't dance so it was a bad idea to make her do this but to be fair the choreography was bad too. She looks like a man in drag when she tries to be too feminine. BW is not for her.

Am I the only one who would have preferred the remake to be Katrina and Raveena instead of Katrina and Akshay?

What serendipity! You Tube just recommended it, and I was sitting alone in front of the TV. And I don't know how a button got clicked on my remote, and this started playing. 😃

Now again, I was watching this only for science, mind you.

Here are my thoughts on the new tip tip:

Visually more pleasing (all Rohit Shetty songs are!)

PG rated compared to the more G rated older one.

I DID find this to be less 'vulgar'.

Cinematography sucked (though not as much as the original). One of the moves where Kat is thiraking for quite many seconds was so bad it was downright hilarious.

Kat looked pretty but not voluptuous 🔥 like Raveena.

No comparison at all. Original one with Raveena is iconic in every sense of the word. Plus Raveena's expressions, eyes, lips,natural looks are unmatched. No plastic, no botox, no weird gym bodies, just natural fuller bodied actors.

New one is crap. Cannot even hold a candle to the original by Raveena who was at her finest in every frame of Mohra and Akshay also used to look more handsome back then but looks old now.

Tip tip barsa paani is Raveena, Alka, Udit song. Through and through. Will always remain so.

The old has nostalgia and Raveena was good. But the in the new one Kat’s dance is better and it looked less vulgar.

Definitely the newer version - Kat looked fabulous in that silver saree and choreography wasn't tacky or borderline vulgar like the original!
