She was very confident about Her stature as an Actress as well as a Megastar. That's why She never tried to manipulate things nor people's minds and take away credits from all other actresses , like madhuri did through her pr and paid media to promote herself , cheap lady , shame on her 🤬

calm down ... breathe in, breathe out. šŸ˜›

who knows what happens behind the scenes? whether it be about sridevi or madhuri. Sridevi came across as a complete introvert in real, so it makes sense that she didn't beat the drum about her "superstar" status herself. Times were different during Sri's era too, I think your merit spoke for itself then, more than it ever has after then. unlike Madhuri's era when people ate up any and every gossip they could get their hands on. Weren't there conspiracy theories on Madz, Juhi, etc. plotting Divya's murder too around then.... cuz they all picked up movies that were initially signed by Divya and went on to do really well?? As far as PR goes, I wouldn't blame Madz even if whatever you said is true. You either play the game or get played!

šŸ˜†Reminds me of the Aish superfan who makes troll posts on her daily and gets peeps to defend her.

@bold: that was a deja vu for me too ... i had to go back and re-read if the person really meant Madhuri or someone else.šŸ˜†

I wasn't around to witness the craze surrounding Madhuri, so I'm not sure how or why she was a superstar. When I watch Sridevi movies, I can see why cuz she always delivered powerful performances along with being a topnotch dancer. In any movie you watch of hers, she has your eyes glued to her more than anyone else.

But Madhuri's drawing card seems to be her dance numbers ... which makes sense cuz she is a brilliant dancer, she had the right "assets" I guess if I were to step in a guy's shoes, and had a bunch of raunchy songs that accentuated them. No brainer why she gave the male population a boner just from watching her. But her acting never stood out to me over other actresses of her time. Speaking strictly of impact, Madhuri's wasn't as well rounded as Sridevi's for me to accept her as a true "superstar."

Also her smile and expressions

Joke. Madhuri gave hits on her own. Her name was enough to sell films. She gave hits with Aamir, Salman, Akshaye who were total newcomers. Unlike Ash who was never a box office draw at all and is a media/PR phenomenon known only for beauty but had no expressions range like Madhuri nor as many hits as her.

Ash was never a draw among masses unlike Madhuri who was a craze in masses, classes, interiors and overseas alike and gave ATBB like HAHK. Unlike Ash who could never give ATBBs even when she acted with Khans and Hrithik. Ash never gave hits with rank newcomers either.

These few beauty titles or being at Cannes do not make Ash a bigger star than Madhuri.

Ash is the most successful model from India. Not the most successful actor. Never ever commanded popularity among masses or set box office cash registers ringing the way Hema, Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri or even Kajol, Rani, Karishma did.

The only place where Ash surpasses Madhuri is such forums or PR activity or some imagination of post 90s generation fans. Never in real life history of Indian cinema and pop culture.

Super joke.

Madhuri had the biggest number of flops with barely a handful of hits. Barring one or two films, she didn't have a single success where she can take full credit.

Yes, Madhuri used her assets to the best limit to titillate audiences, which is why she enjoyed fame with male masses, much like Katrina Kaif. Aishwarya couldn't come anywhere close in vulgar display/shaking of assets to garner attention.

Aishwarya wasn't desperate for hits otherwise she could have easily done way more out and out commercial movies than she has actually done.

Aishwarya one of the most popular actresses of all time... nobody talks about Kajol, Rani, Karishma today as much as Ash is talked about. Or even Madhuri despite her being there everywhere.

Aish compared to MadhurišŸ˜†.

Sorry pony, but this is hilarious.

I don't like Madhuri, think is she is not as beautiful as her fans think, but she is the biggest bollywood female star of all time. And this isn't something I made up, it is FACT.

Ash has more flops than hits. And her few hits are due to Khans and Hrithik. Not herself. Ash never brought an opening on her own for any film.

Look at Rani who gave hit like Saathiya with Vivek and see how Ash's film like Kyun ho gya na flopped despite hype of her affair with Vivek.

Ash is talked about only online or in context as Bachchan bahu. Otherwise she is forgotten and not even seen in LoReal ads now. Even at this age Madhuri is more successful on TV than her and her Youtube channel gets millions of views too.

Vulgar? LOL! Ash never had it in her. She tried in Ishq Kamina type songs but failed. That 'clean' song is forgotten.

There is not a single Ash song that can be called sexy or hot. She also failed in remake of Umrao Jaan and could never come close to National award winning performance of Rekha in the original.

For that you need more expressions than just a doll. Songs require emoting. Ones known to shine only in still photography do not pass for emoting in films.

Madhuri gave top grossing films of the year like Dil, HAHK, DTPH etc unlike Ash. And gave hits with different generation of actors be it Anil, Sunny, Sanjay or Khans, Akshaye Khanna.

Ash never had a voice, command over language, dialogue delivery, acting or dance skill like Madhuri. Nor ability to draw audience to theatres with just one song.

Madhuri won greatest actress of the millennium awards while Ash only wins beauty awards, and will be known only for beauty, nothing else.

Rani is still getting films like Mardaani, NOKJ and critical acclaim. Karishma atleast has ads. Unlike Ash who has no ads either and is even out of Kalyan jewellers ad, LoReal, Longines ads now.

Even with top male stars Ash could not give an ATBB. She never had any star power beyond PR and online hype.

Ash's hits are far fewer than Madhuri. She was always all hype and no substance. In serious films too Madhuri's one Mrityudand beats Ash's entire career.

Madhuri has more credibility and popularity among masses than Ash which is why Govt also chose her to endorse campaigns for HIV/AIDS awareness, Beti bachao beti padhao unlike Ash who has no public service campaigns from GOI to her credit except one ad for polio drops in which she joined Amitabh who was main ambassador for the campaign.

Madhuri is in various ads even today whereas Ash is out of Lux, Prestige, Kalyan, Nakshatra and LoReal ads which she once did.

Ask anyone in real life who the bigger star is. Madhuri is the last female supertar and complete star-actress with ability to draw audience on her own. No one else matched that fame after her. Deal with it.

Even in her so called Southern films Ash was never a superstar like Sridevi was. If Sridevi fans talk of Madhuri in comparison to regional cinema success it still makes sense. But Ash fans quoting her ikka dukka South films to call her bigger star than Madhuri is a joke.

Madhuri is a cultural phenomenon and box office draw that Ash never was and never will be. Nor does Ash get any TV shows or ads the way MD does.
