I think the film would've done well if The Second Wave hadn't killed too many people. People's desire to watch films in theaters is 0 now.

Not sure of Bollywood since don't think people up North care much about Jaylalita but down South I think it could be a hit or worked better if they had taken a South Indian actress. The main issue for people down South was Kangana since her voice was dubbed and wasn't in sync. Plus don't think people down South are that welcoming at BW actors playing meaty roles since they look at them as outsiders. I think the film could've done reasonably well with the restrictions if it had someone from the Tamil film industry and not fall flat like it did in Tamil and Telugu circuit.

  • Munna Bhai MBBS
  • Andaz Apna Apna
  • Masti
  • Chup Chup Ke
  • Hulchul
  • 3 Idiots
  • Bhool Bhulaiya
  • Ishq
  • Housefull

Any movie that basically has Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav is an instant trigger for me. I have too many favourite scenes, I can’t even think of any specific one that stood out. But here’s a few clips I rewatch often.

Ditto. 😆

I'd add Dhamal to the list.

I remember as a kid, Ishq would come on TV and I had seen it many times..

My parents really fooled me that the movie ends on the song "Mr Lova Lova" and my mom would switch off the TV. I didn't know the movie has a second half until some years later. Now I have trust issues. 😭

Actually Tamil and Telugu movies welcome North Indian good looking girls wholeheartedly.Thamannah,Kajal Aggarwal,Tapsee Pannu etc have more fans in South than they do in their respective hometowns.Tapsee does Tamil films and Bollywood almost equally.Female actors who have Tamil and Telugu as mother tongue is quite rare nowadays. So,I don't think that Kangana being a non tamil is the problem here.

If Kangana had maintained a consistent frequency in doing Tamil films, she would have gotten a hold on the language and people would have connected more with her.She is doing a Tamil film almost after 13 years where her last release in Tamil was Dhaam Dhoom as far as I know.

The problem could have been the lip sync issues and obviously the second wave of covid.

I cannot particularly point out what makes me laugh, I laugh at everything that I find funny.

Sometimes I laugh at things I should not laugh😆

I especially laugh at things I shouldn't. I have a dark sense of humor

when someone falls down, I know it is rude to laugh, but I just cannot stop.

Or in serious situation, like once me and my friends went for an outing and one of my friends lost his wallet, and he is the one who is a miser among us, who I just could not stop laughing.

And than I laugh at almost every dark memes.

I think many people on this forum including me think sitcom humour is funny. Even in real world and offline interactions people love to use sitcom humour with their friends in daily life.

Because people think sarcasm = rudeness = funny = cool.

Although sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
