Kajol has always been jealous of Rani so I think she chose this movie to try and prove she could play a blind woman as well as Rani if not better. She failed in that.

No Kajol was good infact she suited and acted well too. Surprisingly even it's their first time Aamir-Kajol pairing is also good too.. Songs are too good. Watched the movie on theater 2nd day early morning show with hubby enjoyed a lot..

The film was hit and loved by audience. Aamir and Kajol’s chemisty was a surprise and very good. If they were so bad, the movie wouldn’t have been so loved. And it wasn’t hit like dhoom 3 which was just hit just because of big actors and popular franchise. Fanaa like most hit films was actually liked by the audience. So Kajol was not miscast.

It was a very average movie with mediocre performances from both Aamir and Kajol.

But yeah this proved that Kajol is a mediocre actress and can only do a certain type of roles. She is not versatile

Aishwarya Rai was supposed to play the role opposite Aamir Khan but she was unable to sign it because she already signed Dhoom 2 opposite Hrithik. Her dates were not available at that time.

Only after Aishwarya was not available for the film Aamir Khan suggested Kajol's name. Go check IMDb trivia.

Kajol does not look good with Aamir as a couple because long time back they did a film as friends. Ishq. They had sisterly brotherly relationship. They looked so convincing as siblings that they don't look good at all as a couple at all.

Aishwarya Rai would have been perfect. The film should have been directed by someone else. Kunal Kohli is not a good director.

Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai should do a film. They are old now. Mature enough to forget their egoes and do a film together.

A mature story directed by Mani Ratnam or Karan Johar.

I thought Aamir refused to work with Aishwarya after she refused Mangal Pandey. I can't see him willing to work with her in Fanaa if that is true.
