SRK started aging rapidly post those 6/8 (whatever) packs for OSO. It was followed by a bad back, shoulder injury and multiple surgeries.

The fact that he is a chain-smoker and an insomniac on top aggravate the matter more.

Also his not so successful Bollywood stint for a while now might have exacerbated the matter further....

True - Akshay lives a very healthy, disciplined lifestyle.

Because Smokers age badly.

He is not really a laidback kind of guy, stress and smoking does that to you.

He's ageing normally for someone who works in cinema and is a chain-smoker.

Many ignore that actors and film professionals work unusual hours. It can take a toll on their bodies. Plus, SRK wasn't/isn't someone who worked on one movie a year for most of his career.

There's a reason why film professionals and actors have alcohol or drug issues. It's really taxing. Sure, they have the money for cosmetic procedures or to hire the best fitness expert and dietician, but that only goes so far.

He's 55, not 35. Of course, there are anomalies. Genes play a big role. But the amount of pressure these folks have--to look perfect, have the perfect body... It's really a challenge.
