Hey what Nandini’s dad did was terrible but it was common in those days in Indian society (maybe even today, idk)

And so was not knowing your wife before marriage and sill putting moves on her on wedding night... In really old times wife wasn’t even supposed to see her his husband before the ceremony but wedding night happened

That was the tradition but many here act like they don’t have one iota of idea about how Indian society operates or used to operate

But the final choice was hers... Did she do it due to societal pressure?
It’s been a while since I watched the movie but don’t think that was the reason, she chose Vanraj cz she changed her mind... It was that simple.. A woman should have the option to change her mind

Or Maybe the wrong can be righted

Make a sequel (all the players are still active in the industry ) where she realizes her mistake, dumps her husband and goes back to Sameer

The dad realizes his mistake and apologizes

Or remake it with current stars

Happy to see people in this thread calling out the problematic aspects about the message this movie sends off.

Because every year I am used to seeing threads about how Nandini and Vanraj are a match made in heaven and TURU LAB while Nandini-Sameer is just infatuation/attraction 😡 Honestly I think most people do so because it is cool to hate on Selmon Bhai, because Selmon sucks and his acting sucks and his crying scene is a joke... And yea all of that is true btw🤔 but that should not stop people from seeing how unfair the film's ending was to Sameer and Nandini.. 😡

KJo should buy the rights and remake it with Janvhi, Tiger, and a new star kid and piss everyone off 😆

I didn't really mind Nandini chosing Ajay.. she changed her mind after spending some time with him.. and her last monologue kinda made it clear that she resented Sameer giving her up for a vachan.. and the fact that no vachan prevented Vanraj from giving her her happiness won her over.. That's fine because hey we all want someone who is ready to fight the world for us.. no someone who is ready to give us up as a thank you to their guru

But I would have liked a teeny veeny scene where Nandini actually makes it clear that though she chooses her husband, she will forever hate her father for what he did and he was no way justified.. the father deserved a good thrashing

As for wedding night scene, that's how arrange marriages work😆

Aishwarya should have posted pictures with the heroes of the movie, its more than 2 decades. All are mature and moved on. If not solo then the trio together pic or some whole cast picture.

This is inviting speculation.

Ajay didn't mention Asin and prachi in his ode to Boil Bachan though the was no history there.. Here Ash has a legit reason because she was literally abused by one of the guys..

Agree with everything (and she SHOULd tell her dad off ) but ( and I know this would incur a lot of wrath here) forgive him in the end or at least not hate him forever

Forever hating somebody esp your parents only destroys you in the end

And it would be a weird situation for her to be happily married to Vanraj and yet hate her dad ( who made it happen) forever for that
