Is this based on the AT post we discussed two days ago?
Personally, I feel the world is much more sensitive now. There is a difference between standing up for the truth and reacting to almost everything out there. That's forced a lot of people, not only celebs, to keep their mouths shut on public platforms and self-censor.
I wouldn't cancel anyone, but ignore them if they have done some serious damage to others or to a system. *cough* Amber Heard *cough*
I can take jokes and I love dank jokes but if a person is a full-on racist, bigot, homophobic, and so on, basically a bad person, then I will ignore them and move on.
That being said, I do believe people have been reacting a lot these days. It is possible the person did not know what they said was offensive and if they apologize and fix their mistake then we should accept it. And being over-sensitive won't help either.
Also, bringing up something said by someone when they were way younger a.k.a not even adults isn't fair. As a child, you tend to get influenced by your surroundings and how people talk and behave... it's only when you grow up you are responsible for your actions. But our generation is on social media so they don't get this chance if ukwim.
