Uh ,still doesn't justify the romanticisation/sacrifice angle of suicide.

None of the original films- of which Ashique 2 is a frame by frame copy- show that he actually did it "for" her. He was severely depressed and an addict and that was the reason. In fact in 2019's A Star is Born, Bradley Cooper's character has this end in mind from the beginning, meeting Lady Gaga just delays the inevitable.

Ask someone who is married to an alcoholic, there is just trauma in the relationship.

The 'sacrifice' part makes no sense whatsoever.

But in this movie it was shown as a sacrifice. Even RJ's friend convinced Aarohi into forgiving him for committing suicide because it was for her.

I don't have to ask anyone. I have first hand experience by seeing my parents.

Yes, there is trauma in such type of relationship, and the movie doesn't deny it either. That's why RJ committed suicide as a sacrifice to save Aarohi from that trauma which she was ready to bear.

You can understand why someone committed suicide without supporting it ( no sane person would support someone else committing suicide ).

I don’t even view it as a sacrifice... like they try to frame it as him doing it for her, but what does she really get out of it? A career? The mental trauma of losing him, the guilt of being unable to help him and the overall heartbreak would in reality probably give her severe mental health issues. Not to mention the trauma she already picked up trying to help and rehabilitate him. He did it because he couldn’t handle being who he was and dealing with his addiction anymore, Bollywood tried to frame it as a sacrifice.
