I think they both are iconic. I prefer Ash if we look at the entire package. Current lot is nothing in front of them.

Acting, both of them have their strengths and weaknesses, and their contemporaries were better IMO. I prefer Sridevi to Madhuri and Rani to Ash. However - I do believe that both Madhuri/Ash have a lot of untapped potential that has not been capitalized or tapped into. They both can do a lot more if they had the right opportunities

Well Madhuri recently danced on Kajra Re on her flop dance show and she could hardly match up to what Ash did in the song. So I def don’t think Ash is “s***”” - she was a top actress and made her mark as well.

Ash herself was one of the bland girls when she first came in. She just had her looks but no acting talent or experience. She got a little better with time but was never really good as a whole. That's why she couldn't sustain a career at an older age the way Tabu, Rani, and even Kajol have.
