Apart from her awesome bravery, there were many traits of Neerja's character from Neerja(2016) which were worth admiring and emulating.

What I liked most about Neerja's character was her never-say-die attitude and her ability to look a challenge square in the eye. Even when her marriage failed, she didn't come across as weak or seeking sympathy. She was always trying to bring a smile on others' faces and had an insatiable appetite for life.

Even during the hijacking episode, there were some aspects of Neerja which were worth applauding apart from her indomitable spirit. Her ability to think on her feet and her presence of mind which were absolutely wonderful. She didn't back down when the terrorists were trying to intimidate her. Also, the part where she hides the passports of American citizens to save them was an example of true-blue grit and quick thinking.

Even at the beginning of the film she was shown as someone who was an engager - someone who loved to bring people together and this quality was very endearing. She was truly someone blessed from above with rare and beautiful qualities, a woman not only capable of making sacrifices but also someone who put others' happiness before herself.

A truly inspiring character - Neerja film was my favourite biopic in recent years.

I haven't watched the film yet. I'm familiar with Neerja Bhanot's story. Used to have her pic on my table even before the film was made. So I don't know if I can answer. Her bravery and sense of responsibility aside I guess her tact. The way she hid the passports of the Americans. For someone that young she showed amazing presence of mind

Yes she was. She was a nice young girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The rest is fiction and is very insulting to the real heroes.

The entire court transcripts of the hearing are on google. You can read all the witness testimonies there. The surviving crew and passengers. It's very informative and far form what was portrayed in the movie.

That she got scared like all of us but went ahead and did the right thing anyway. They didnt show her as someone unrealisticly brave person. Like anyone else she got scared, got shaken up,that scene where she went to the washroom to compose herself. But then returned to her duty with all force
