Just an idea for Hrithik if he ever comes across this post ... I think he should really give this one a shot for his next movie. 😉 He would dance about 1000 x better and it would be a TREAT to watch.

1000x better than Gene Kelly? Not possible.

Hrithik did a mini homage to it at the 2 min mark. Though the entire dancing in the rain is a kind of homage by Farah Khan - who won the National Award for choreography. It's odd that the dancers never receive an award when singers do.

Pardon my exaggeration ... 😆... it's an iconic song but I have no doubts that Hrithik would rock it in his own way if he were to try out something similar. The execution today wouldn't be as time consuming and painstaking as it was back in those days either.

I did think of Idhar Chala but I wasn't sure if there were any deliberate attempts to incorporate signing in the rain moves ... I was kinda expecting you to post here, thanks for sharing that bit.

Does he? That's really awful of her ... to make a guy like Hrithik dance to HER tunes. The nerve, right?! 😆 Let me get back to you on that one.

Anyways, Mr. Birdienumnum, you were right in saying that Hrithik, as well he dances, he's had to make do with very subpar songs. Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Dhoom 2 and the likes are very few and far in between and he deserved better considering he has performed so well in so many songs over the years.

I can't even pick out a favorite but Bang Bang looks good ... and Katrina looks great dancing with him.
