The flip side is that the "star" culture is slowly going down, and good "actors" are allowed to exist/co-exist and thrive, along with conventional, commercial heroes/heroines.
Apart from Alia, we have other actresses who debuted in the last decade Taapsee, Bhumi etc doing films on their own merit.
We still have good actresses in Sanya M., Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra etc who SEEM TO BE NOT opting for similar/flowerpot roles .......unlike last batch of actresses (Sonakshi, Vaani, Illeana, Disha, Nargis F., Kaira, Yami etc etc) who badly relegated themselves to the "heroine bracket"
,
The likes of Kareena, Priyanka, Anushka, Deepika, Vidya, Kangana, are still around in one way or the other😉. They have practically changed the debate around the longevity an actresses's career, and the roles they can do. 👏
And with OTT, we have several old gems coming back to the game like Sushmita Sen, who delivered an excellent performance in Aarya.👏
Amond actors, Nawaaz, Rajkumar Rao etc etc are finally getting the recognition and have been collaborating with actors, who are considered "mainstream".👍🏼
Khans are zoning out, but they're still pretty much in the game along with Shahid and Ranbir.👍🏼
Tiger Shroff has his own thing going in the landscape of mindless, action flicks.😆
Basically, industry is very accommodating now.
Don't forget that debutantes from late 2000s like Ranbir, Anushka, Deepika etc etc all celebrated their haydays in 2010s only.
So, it's not too late for Jhanvi, Ananya, Sara to bounce back. They have age in their favor, and family connections to back them up.😆
Also, don't remember we lost Sushant.🥺 (a 2010s debuntante) who could've gone miles ahead of Varun, Vicky if only he had a little support by BW.
