Sonu is more of a 2000s singer so its unfair place him with the actual 90s brigade.
Out of the list, Abhijeet is the only one whose voice is still the same young.

Sonu have his share of successful hits in mid to late 90s he outshines kumar sanu in late 90s infact he have sang more then abhijeet in 90's only ...its just that he became the number one sought after singer in 2000.....plus he have seen the pop culture of 90s all his private albums of 90s were a rage
Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu - legends of bollywood romantic songs ❤️😎

Sonu sang in the 90s but he was still new at the time.
Just like how Alka Y and Udit N would not be considered in the 80s brigade even though the two had debuted back then, Sonu is more a part of the 2000s batch since that's when his peak was, irrespective of whether he surpassed Kumar Sanu.

Udit Alka only had one film in 80's ....Sonu already made his marked till 97 has sang for mithoon, salman , akshey , govinda even at that point :) ....its almost saying like kumar sanu wasnt the part of 2000 lol kumar sanu had less songs in 2000 but he had his share of contribution to the 2000 music same was the case with sonu in 90's
Why can't we have all of these?
Life was more musical with variety.
Kavita ji as well.

Dude u need to check ur facts. Udit and Alka are singing since the 1980s. They've even sung for veteran composer Chitragupta's Bhojpuri films.
@bold: Sanu will always belong to the 90s brigade. Ur argument is literally like telling why isn't Lata Mangeshkar considered a part of 90s she contributed a lot lol yes she did but she will always be the Queen from 50s-80s...the 90s female singer group will always be Alka, Anuradha, Kavita, Sadhana Sargam and Poornima.
The 2000s brigade of male singers were Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK mainly. Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu did sing songs but the main guys at the time were the ones I mentioned above.
Sonu was still gaining popularity in the 90s and if u ask anyone they'd say he was the 2000s batch. But there is no point reasoning with u because you will always defend Sonu, irrespective of whether ur point is correct or not.

its not about who was more popular to that era its about contribution ...Sonu has his share of contribution to the 90s ...the masti element he brought in govinda 90s songs are now classics ...Udit and kumar had their share of contribution to the 2000 .....Ar rehman started off in 1995 still he had his contribution to the 90's infact he was the game changer of music in india in 90's only .... the popular nadeem shravan and others got affected with rising popularity of AR REHMAN in 1995 infact the film maker of raja hindustani said we were afraid to release a song like aye ho mere zindagi me because of rehman songs in that particular year ....

and by the way udit alka might be singing from early 80's but their major hit was only qyamat se qayamat tak ..in contrary to that sonu had many major hits of the 90s era to his credit
