No. it was supposed to be Salman-Aish as Bajirao-Mastani. but movie was shelved due to their breakup. SLB and Aish also talked about it.

and if Aish played Mastani, it would be delight to watch beautiful Mastani. but commercial success, I doubt.

Bahurani gave 2 hits to SLB ....so capable of giving success.

and not to forget her historical JA.

she is meant for period dramas-blessed with a classic period face..i reckon BM would have been as successful if bahu was mastani.

Mastani needed to be delicate...Aish has sharp features too but Deepika was more delicate looking. If anyone from the 90s crew could've done it, that would've been Karishma...

after aish refused to work with salman, slb replaced her with kareena. Salman and kareena had even done a photoshoot for the poster.

"I feel unfortunate to not be part of Bajirao Mastani. I had to be part of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. I have heard the script, it is a very nice script," Salman Khan said in an interview. Salman Khan also revealed that he and Kareena had even done a photoshoot for Bajirao Mastani but later he could not proceed with the film. "Kareena and I also did a photo session together. (Now) I have seen the promo of it (Bajirao Mastani. It has been done on a large scale. I think all three -Ranveer, Priyanka and Deepika are amazing," he said.

Each era would have their own set of actresses who can do certain historic roles. Aish would've made a beautiful Padmaavati and fit the role perfectly...but she does not have delicate features, not all sharp features are delicate.
