She definitely has a beautiful face. Bas bole mat

She began with such promise. And I've said this many times already but she deserved Best Debut that year, not Deepika.

(of course by now DP is galaxies ahead of her in terms of acting, but at the time!)

Sonam took the route of "I need to be a glamour puss" post her second film in which she was also great, Delhi-6.

Her 2011-2012 era was DISASTEROUS and so far she's only got one really good performance: Neerja. Sadly even post her awards for it, she has slipped back into missing the mark artistically.

But all is not lost. She has revolutionised Bollywood Fashion and deserves all the props for that. Who would've thought that this would be her standing after her initial first two films?

I really think she needs to do some sort of acting school training. She needs to go to a cave or mountain and introspect the hell out of her life, and believe in herself too. Maybe she'll surprise us all again and have a fantastic run of films in her 40s. 😃

For years I thought Sonam was the prettiest actress. She had the simple, elegant, soft timeless beauty that is extremely rare in Bollywood. I wish she could act better though

Sonam's undoing is her dialog delivery. She should've taken classes or workshopped hard to overcome that

I believe she would have been a memorable heroine of her time if she had even the slightest bit of acting talent. Her dialogue delivery and that nasal high-pitched voice is a disaster!

I have always maintained that Sonam is one of the most beautiful actresses in BW, she has that old world charm going for her. Unfortunately she has got very little to offer other than her looks.

That SB comment

I don't know why "hunger for success" is considered a "quality" especially in Bollywood. Coming from such an elite background and being gifted with natural good looks, having hunger for success is supposed to be the bare minimum requirement.

She is quite arrogant and that is her ultimate drawback. Katrina is at the same level of acting as her, or maybe even worse. But you don't see Kat cribbing about how you cant be a good actor if you are good looking (I believe she said that on KWK). Basically saying that I am a good actor, but it gets ignored because I am so pretty.

That sort of attitude will ensure that you take your place in this industry for granted and never work too hard to improve yourself, and that is what has happened to her
