Sharma or Kohli-Sharma
Recently, when Kohli was asked what he'd like to change once Anusha and he are blessed with a child, the cricket star reportedly replied, "Everything in life is transient. It will end one day. I have a life. I have a family. I will have kids. They deserve all my time. That is something that is very, very clear and close to my heart. I want no part of my career being flashed in my house. I want no part of my trophies, my achievements, nothing in my house when our kids are growing up. Well, looks like they've got it all planned!
Is this a way of saying she won't work after kids ??😕

hope this nepo kid will not land in movies or cricketer taking away chance of a genuinely talented person
How dare the privileged have children.
Just 2 days old and already declared talentless on two fronts. That has to be a record.

While I agree it is patriarchal to take only daddy's name, what is the other option? Hyphenated names?
So what happens if Virshka baby marries DeepVeer son, and they reproduce?
XYZ Sharma-Kohli-Padukone- Singh Bavnani?
And so on and so forth?😆
And after some 15-20 generations everyone will have the same surname & the 10th board certificate will be 5 pages long just to fit in that surname🤣🤣
Sharma kohli I guess
It will ultimately depend on the parents.
Ash took up Bachchan and retained Rai...Abhi didn't and Aradhya only uses Bachchan.
Deepika had said jokingly that Ranveer took up Padukone...maybe its true 😆
Beauty influencer Diipa Khosla and husband Oleg Büller have taken up each others' surnames, making it "Büller-Khosla"...they're expecting now so I imagine their child will also carry the same.
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's daughter was named Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder...whether Nikki's taken up Somerhalder is not known.
Eminem's biological daughter is said to be Hailie Jade Scott Mathers on documents, although she doesn't use Mathers openly...having taken up Scott from mother Kim and Mathers from Marshall.
Billie Eilish's birth name has both her parents' surname: Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell...Baird is her mom's and O'Connell is her father.
My hunch is Anvi Sharma-Kohli, but it could be Kohli only too. Unless they do something completely different like using their Gotra or either parents' name...so like Anvi Virat or Anvi Kashyap (Kohlis are Kashyap gotra according to my knowledge).
How dare the privileged have children.

Now im waiting for a kid to be termed talentless in the womb 😆
Every thing can be turned into Patriarchy(power struggle where men win without much fight or by default).
Perhaps , originally only used to establish paternity ...clearly its the mother who gives birth. A father giving a child his lastname assume financial responsibility...pre DNA test era.
Lastnames means little(except for cataloging as our mere existence is now a data) in current times unless its a force to reckon with (Gates, Bezos,Zukerbergs, Trump ;) )
No one cares if you alternate ur name everyday to pandey's, sharma, seth...Tell me if you are Ambani or someone like that one might give you a second look at best.
Corporate culture is always on first name basis since 2 decades...unless there are 2-3 Marks in your team ...you make sure an email is sent to right Mark(lastname). 10 years ago an indian guy at work mentioned how they gave his son his lastname(he said it like his wife was generous). Atleast , it shows that some men do not assume or take it for granted...its a good change...atleast a start.

The mother carries the baby, sure but recent studies show that the sperm or the male DNA is more dominant and a baby is genetically more similar to the father than the mother. The male genes are just stronger.

the scales seem to be tipped toward fathers, whose genes often win the war underway in the womb.
This is due in part to the perplexing puzzle known as epigenetics. Basically, epigenetics influence the way your DNA is actually expressed. This can alter your dad’s sperm, which in turn may affect you. It can also affect the way the genes you have are read — and the proteins they produce — across your lifetime.

Yes, especially the first born. Nature establishes paternity ...rudimentary ofcourse. Statistically the first child atleast in first few weeks of birth has more facial resemblence like father or close relative's from father's side(ex paternal aunt)...later on they may morph into anyone from either side of parents.
humme kya.
Bechari bacchi ki jaan loge kya tum log😆.
As for surname debate, let mom and dad have a competition, who ever earns more before pregnancy, will get the right to give their surname to their kid. Paisa hi Paisa hoga😆.
