Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari - First theatrical release after unlock.

Any movie lovers who were desperate to watch a film in theaters? This movie is releasing in theaters this Diwali :

Anyone interested in watching it?

Movie doesn't seem interesting from the trailer and I don't see any hype for the film.

But this is the first Bollywood movie release after the reopening of theatres... and it's interesting to see neither film industry nor trade analysts supporting this film when they were begging for theatres to reopen.

What's the point of reopening of theatres when there is no content to showcase? Who would be interested in watching old films? This movie has known faces in the lead roles and Bollywood could've came out to support this film as someone is at least being brave unlike them.

Otherwise Zee could've easily dumped this film on OTT but they are taking risk and giving a chance to distributors and exhibitors. Bollywood could at least applaud them for doing this.

This again proves what a close knit group Bollywood is where they only scratch backs of each other. If this film starred a nepokid then whole Bollywood and media would've hyped the film to skies.

The box office has seen a new release after eight months with Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. It has been 34 empty Fridays since March (a Sunday here instead of Friday) which has never happened before and hopefully it never happens again. The pandemic is the reason for the empty Fridays and the pandemic is still out there so credit to the makers to release this film in the theatres even with the uncertainty around.

The film has been given a good release with far more screenings than the film would have got in a normal scenario and multiplexes have been screening films at low rates since opening last month but this film has ticket rates which ae more like the pre covid19 days.

It is going to take time for the audience to come back as long as the pandemic continues and this the first release so the the film to see a limited turn will not surprise.

The hope with Suraj Mangal Pe Bhari is that there is some sort of turnout on Sunday which is the big Diwali holiday and the biggest day of the year for box office collections. A healthy turnout will give some hope for to see more films hitting cinemas in the new future. If there is no audience on Sunday then it will be a setback for the exhibition sector.

Taran Adarsh predicts 2-3 Crore opening for this film.

This movie released one day after Diwali which is the best day to release a film as it's a guarantee that your film will break all opening day records by a huge margin.

Last time Thugs Of Hindostan got a 48 Crore bumper opening on this day.

Blame corona, 50% occupancy or the audience boycotting Bollywood, but film industry is in big trouble right now.

2-3 is bit too low even for this film especially being a solo release on Diwali factoring everything including corona .I expected 6-7 crore ...may be a while before biggies start to release seeing this disastrous performance..on the other note this film looked so unappealing ..so when a film itself does not appeal, nothing can help its cause lol
