If I am not mistaken, HR charges a humongous amount as his remuneration fee. I guess this is where the money is going!

But, I have a question. Hrithik does only few movies per year, but he seems to be insanely rich. Did he get all that money from the films or inheritance from his dad was also added to it?

There's some wealth on his mother's side but his grandfather only recently passed away. There was no family wealth on his father's side. Roshan lal died young leaving his young family without money. Post 20 years as a struggling actor Rakesh was doing well as a director/producer with hits and misses but he had to mortgage his house and cars to make KHNP. If it had failed he'd have been bankrupt. Filmkraft currently exists as it does because of KNHP and the Krrish series. HR most likely has a stake in FilmKraft as he is it's biggest asset (and where he does more than just act). He certainly does in Krrish merchandise. He now has another production company - HRX Films which co-produced Super 30.

When the divorce was going through in 2014 it was asserted HR personally was worth approx 2,500 crore ($300m+). Hence the 400c rumors of alimony which would have been fair if true. He's worth more now. Yes, he's made money from films. War made him 100c+ and Super 30 another 50c but he got 550c in 2016 for the latest satellite rights contract for his films. Like many stars he makes money from endorsements and appearances. I think he was paid 8 crore for his Coke ads back in 2000 - probably 20 times more than he made for KHNP (not including all the posters, trading card etc). He's invested in a lot of property and this purchase also works as an investment. He co-owns HRX which is co-owned by Myntra (now owned by Walmart) as well as a stake + endorsement deal in Curefit.

His mother is wealthy and he has knack of investments. Given his background in finance I feel Hrithik has increased the family fortune to 10 raised to the power of N.

Unfortunately not into charity like Salman Khan.

The pandemic actually revealed that Mumbaikars have money, the real market is offering lots of discounts and those with moolah are investing right and left centre.

Then there r others who are committing suicide.

Hrithik has always given to charity. He has his regular monthly contributions in addition to other situational/timely donations from supporting villages, to flood victims, to paraplegics, to partnering with an NGO providing 1.2 lakh daily meals to the homeless, elderly and daily wage workers during the pandemic.

It's a sad reality that the wealthy tend to become wealthier during times of financial crisis. There are a lot of financial opportunities if one already has the capital. Total Billionaire wealth has surged to 10.2 trillion - up from 8 trillion in April. Yet it's still not enough for most of them in terms of paying taxes or wages - they're always looking for a loophole or a gov't handout.

Bcoz HR does films so selectively, I thought he must have inherited lots of money to have that freedom. But, if he did all that on his merit, then great 👍 ........ huge respect for him.

He also has got a clothing brand now. I believe he is making money for other sources as well.

Actually, if you remember, Sussanne left after HR didn't give in to her demands on having a separate home for them. By the time he got the house that he is living in now, Susanne already packed her bags and left. She wanted them to leave the family home and live on their own away from his parents, he didn't want that. The irony is after the divorce, he left the family home and lived on his own. Maybe that had something to do with his mentor.

I think he charges like 80 crores, his fee for War was around that. Plus there are brand endorsements and public appearances, all that is enough for him to survive.

He doesn't intentionally work like this. If you notice his pattern, he is not fit and has to get back in shape and get that strength again. He suffers from a bad case of scoliosis so that doesn't help him at all when he has to do action scenes or even dance.
