So, I watched both Raincoat and Masaan today and was impressed by both movies. Raincoat is like a throwback to another era, with its pristine, beautiful love story and Masaan depicts both the corruptions of society and a heart-wrenchingly tender love story. I was swept into the magic of both these movies.

Have you watched either/both? Which one is better acc. to you?

Same here! It left me speechless. The emotions were so authentic and the acting so good. A gem of a movie❤️

I can watch it again and again.

Raincoat is a stone cold masterpiece. It's sad that not many people know or have seen it. It is on par with the Before movies, maybe even better cos this one also has a rather poingnant twist. By the end, your heart is in shambles.

Very few movies are able to properly portray lost love and the duality of pain and beauty of a heartbreak, this one does beautifully so.

Have to watch Masaan, has been on my list for long.

it's hard to pick, they are very different.

Raincoat has a charming wistfulness that I adore. And one of my favourite soundtracks of all time.

Aish's cringey overacting ruined Raincoat for me.

Masaan hands down. It's heartbreaking and chilling and has more of an overall impact

Raincoat on the other hand is a charming and intimate love story- well acted by AD and Aish but the impact is lesser. but it is more heartwarming than anything

Easy. Raincoat. It's a masterpiece.

Masaan was a good film too though. Just not that riveting or haunting.
