Anushka's jumping the gun & going alag tangent pe as usual, Gavaskar didn't accused/blamed her or meant it in a dirty way..A completely harmless joke he made while praising Kohli when he came to bat (not mocking him or blaming "his ultra woke wife" for his dismissal) ..& who certainly doesn't feel "dragged into cricket" when she's d ONLY cricketer wife who's included in pictures of d TEAM at events/meetings just for being a "celeb"

He is a senior cricketer and a respectable personality, he should lead by example and do his job as a commentator of the match between two teams not two spouses

It doesn’t matter the context, he has no right to bring her up. He’s not a gossip columnist he’s a commentator so he should stick to his job description.

I don't fault her for not liking it.. I fault her for making it a big deal when he clearly didn't mean it in a dirty way especially on SM..

Cricket fans stopped trolling Anushka since a long time now, at least on a large scale

He meant it k Virat hasn't practiced much since months now apart from playing against Anushka's bowling.. how it demeans her in any way or blamed her for his bad performance is beyond my understanding

Sunny might not have made a deragatory comment on Anushka but why even bring her up in the first place, he has no business to bring in Virat's family/wife in the commentary.

Anushka's response was apt ,she has always been trolled for Virat's performance and if such a legendary cricketer brings her name into it, it is almost giving a free pass to everyone to comment on her when she is not connected to the game.

What I don't get it is people saying it wasn't a deragatory comment, so what. The point is not bringing a spouse and family during the commentary. That is the issue, he had no business bringing Anushka period
