Katrina- Draupadi

Ranbir's Girlfriend- Subadra

Basically it showed how political families rivalries are . Ranbir's family started everything after his dad gets killed by Ajay. Ranbir's mother was daughter of then CM and she was supporter of Opposing Party whose leader was Nassriuddhin Shah. One night she stayed with him and got consummated (She was in love with him I think). Then she gave birth to Ajay but Nana Patekar 's character took him and left him ghats. Ajay was adopted by driver of Ranbir's father.

Like Karn , Ajay wanted to grow as famous leader and her got opposition from Arjun Rampal and his father. Manoj bajpai supported him and thus he became indebted to his friendship like Karn-Duryodhan. Manoj wanted the power so made Ajay kill Ranbir's father.

and did other bad deeds.Its not like Ranbir's family was any Saint

In climax Ajay gets to know his birth truth so he does not kill Ranbir as he know he is his half brother but Nana Patekar tells him to take revenge for his family's deaths

Yeah I was not convinced after that part ...First, I knew no one is saint here..and after that part, Nana made it seem like he is doing justice..

Ranbir's brother killed so many people mercilessly ..yeah Jiya was wrong but he was wrong too for giving her hope ..

I would understand clearly only after understanding Mahabharata's plot it seems

Ranbir and kat were amazing the movie. I always love any modern interpretation of mahabharat and this was the best in my opinion.

I had thought that until Nana in the last moment started becoming mighty and asked Ranbir to kill Ajay as it is a must thing to do ..

The movie wanted to show Ranbir's family greater.

Yeah all of the characters were doing great job ❤️

Coming to climax ,see it was all about politics and power hunger.There was no White and Black except Kat's character . And that is the best part of that movie.Even in real life politics play like that only and coming to Nana Patekar he just wanted to bring power for his nephews and also they were better leaders for the welfare of people than Manoj 's party. So that was his sense of his justice. After all the murders,riots and killings , the people got the right leader in form of Indu.

Once you read Mahabharat it would make you more clear about it:)

For me this is best movie on modern adaption of the epic and also a sequel is coming I heard.

True . I adored Kat's character ❤️...She was a gem. Unfortunately she was in the wrong place. Felt so bad when Ranbir played with her feelings, wanted her to marry her brother ..

Yeah, so Mahabharata is also not black and white it seems na? I thought Pandavas' are pure white and Kauravas' pure black.. But then too hearing about all Pandavas' having only Draupadi as wife was so horrible to think of ..

If sequel came, definitely going to check it out..

Mahabharata and Ramayana were on air on TV .I watched some episodes of Ramayana but haven't checked out Mahabharata..

Hmm..so many channels were showing it. I had come across old and unclear ones so didn't check it. Looks like I missed Star plus one..may be some day, will check it.

It seemed to have Shaheer sheikh and Saurav Jain, it would be interesting..
