He doesn't look that good in mustache. You can see that in song, Morni bagha ma bole ..Without mustache, he looks more like his brother Sanjay Kapoor. Mustache makes his face look better and cute.

It was the fashion in the 80s. Jackie Shroff, Kamal Hassan , Rajni, Jeetendra used to have it too . MPK, QSQT, Aaashiqui changed the whole masculinity of indian heroes IMO
