Was Kalank really a bad movie? - Page 4

Nobody is powerful enough to make a horrible and non-entertaining film a hit.

I will say, Varun seemed to be the only one trying, rest were terrible. I didnt understand Alia's character- she was a 19th century woman who is poor enough to be married off but she is soooo talented in everything - she is a great musician, educated, a dancer and also a budding journalist??? And which big business family would have allowed their bahu to roam the streets writing stories in the 1940s? Very inauthentic.

It wasn't horrible , it waa okay for one time watch,

Aditya, Varun & kunal Khemu did well

Alia & Sonakshi were horrible

Sanjay & Madhuri looks like they were just forced to be in the movie, they were wasted

just saw the song 'ghar more' and didnt take the risk to watch the movie after the 'nostril fest'

I know, Sanjay and Madhuri looked so artificial. It was supposed to be a love of a lifetime between them but Sanjay just seemed emotionless and the scene they shared together, both were on autopilot.

Also the aesthetics were too loud and too heavy. Baahar Begum was dressed as a bride in every scene!! If they were trying to copy Bhansali, he knows restraint and when to tone it down.

It wasn't. If SLB is your standard for Period dramas then I'm sorry you need to watch more period films.

I differ to agree that it was a borefest. It kept me entertained through and through, although I was sleeping watching it but it was anything but bad a movie.

Those picturesque venice sets didn't look like India's partition unfortunately

venice sets are planned for Takht......... Kalank was supposed to be Afghanistan 😆

It was boring. I can't even watch it in parts, its that boring 😆

Alia's presence in itself makes it a bad movie.
