Lo, on expected lines, media vultures are singling out Vivek Oberoi and publishing articles about him wishing Aishwarya.

This is why I found his wishes insincere. Having been in the industry for over two decades, he should've known how his 'wishes' would be used as fodder by gossip hungry media. And this is the least the Bachchan family would want now. If he really wanted to convey his wishes, he could have still done it privately. But no, how would he get attention then?

Naturally it’s inevitable whenever lockdown is loosened there are going to be rise in cases esp in filming locations... As one director said social distancing while filming a movie is oxymoron...

I think it’s a bad joke...

But it’s scary that even the Bachchan family who own so many huge abodes cannot stop from infecting each other

Flu vaccines are only 40% effective

(In 2018-2019 between 26,000 and 53,000 people died from flu - including kids - in the US alone)

So far no vaccines available for other COVID, Sars viruses

Are they sure Wuhan virus vaccine will be available soon and even then it will be safe or they just dangling the carrot to keep the masses down and subjugated

Russia's Sechenov university has completed the clinical trials of the world's first coronavirus vaccine on their volunteers. Vadim Tarasov, the director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology, told Sputnik that the first batch of volunteers will be discharged on Wednesday, whereas, the second will be discharged on July 20.

"Sechenov University has successfully completed tests on volunteers of the world's first vaccine against coronavirus," Tarasov said.

The university began the trials on June 18 and the vaccines were produced by Russia's Gamalei Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Alexander Lukashev, the director of the Institute of Medical Parasitology, Tropical and Vector-Borne Diseases at Sechenov University, said that the main objective of this stage of the study was to show the vaccine's safety for human health, which was successfully done.

"The safety of the vaccine is confirmed. It corresponds to the safety of those vaccines that are currently on the market," Lukashev told Sputnik.

According to Lukashev, further development plan for the vaccine is already determined by the developer's strategy, including the complexity of the epidemiological situation with the virus and the possibility of scaling up production.

"Sechenov University in a pandemic situation acted not only as an educational institution but also as a scientific and technological research center that is able to participate in the creation of such important and complex products as drugs ... We worked with this vaccine, starting with preclinical studies and protocol development, and clinical trials are currently underway," Tarasov noted.

It might take and year to release cure or vaccine. By then, everyone would have had it. Some unfortunates will leave the world and rest will be resistant. After that I don’t know, what will be the use.

Yes, Covid has killed a lot of people. But media is not making our life easier. It only speaks about mortality which is less than 5% (fortunately in India, mortality is lower), but never much about the recovery which is more than 95%.

Weeks ago we heard, Jyotiraditya Sindhya being Covid + and admitted to hospital. Did we hear when he got discharged? No. Instead media jumped to Bacchans being admitted to hospital. When they get discharged, again they will be playing some other celebrity being admitted. For them, getting discharged after Covid is not news. They publish the next news only if the person leaves this world. This negative news reporting has generated fear.

Yes, we all need to be careful. But in case If we get it, we have to assure ourselves, not to panic.

Good that Aishwarya and Aradhya are home quarantined. Children under ten are usually asymptomatic though they can infect others. Here Aishwarya also has it, so they can support each other. Unless the patient has breathing problem and needs oxygen or ventilator, they don’t need admission in hospital (specially when all hospitals are running out of beds for emergency patients). Sr Bacchan did not seem to have short of breath when he was talking. Still owing to his age and other illness he might need hospital. But why Abhishek? Either he is wasting bed or it is severe. I hate if it is first one. But still I hope it is the first one, as I cannot imagine the second one.

This sounds horrible.

The long-term effects of COVID-19, even on people who suffered a mild infection, could be far worse than was originally anticipated, according to researchers and doctors in northern Italy.

Psychosis, insomnia, kidney disease, spinal infections, strokes, chronic tiredness and mobility issues are being identified in former coronavirus patients in Lombardy, the worst-affected region in the country.

The doctors warn that some victims may never recover from the illness and that all age groups are vulnerable

The virus is a systemic infection that affects all the organs of the body, not, as was previously thought, just a respiratory disease, they say.

Some people may find that their ability to properly work, to concentrate, and even to take part in physical activities will be severely impaired.

"At first, initially, we thought it was a bad flu, then we thought it was a bad flu with a very bad pneumonia, it was the phase when you came here, but subsequently we discovered that it is a systemic illness with vessel damage in the whole body with renal involvement, cerebral involvement," he told me in the now silent COVID-19 emergency room that was overwhelmed a few months ago.
