Why is Kartik Hated ?? - Page 5

Any actor that gains huge mainstream popularity is hated on IF, be it outsider/insider.

IF people only likes & praises actors till they're underdogs (aka flop actors whom nobody cares about in real world) like Manoj Bajpayee, RKR etc.

The moment an actor is hated on IF, take it as that actor has potential to be a big star. Kartik is this generation's Rishi Kapoor. Good to see him succeed. IF people are jealous, insecure & hypocrites.

This might sound a bit insensitive but because he is alive.. this forum talks about BW ditching outsiders when it has been doing the same thing since like forever.. Most outsiders are dissed here includig Tapsee are dissed and their success is not appreciated enough.. How funny people found it when a blind referred to Sushant as a truck driver.. now when he is no more, he has become this charming hot actor.. same with Kartik.. we diss him, and hate him but God forbid if something happens to him, he will become a wasted talent

On a side note, Kartik has literally done only one type of role.. he needs to do something different for me to judge how i like his acting

@bold: not defending him, but shouldn't he be offered roles like that? He worked with whatever limited choices he got in his initial years and did Luv Ranjan films so they were all the same. I am sure he did PPAW coz he wanted a mass entertainer. And LAK coz of Imitiaz.

Imo he is trying to make himself a bankable mass star before he experiments to cement his place in the industry. Its actually fun to watch a film without unnecessary action and some light humourous scenes lol.

I don't 😆. Liked him in his initial movies and the songs he has sung too. But just got the same old same old later.

That's critiquing ...he isn't called ugly / philander / arrogant and other bashing.

Vicky was called a philanderer here.. when he and Harleen weren't even dating for that long before he had his first shot of success

Sushant was painted as a philanderer because it was rumored he broke up with Ankita due to Kriti which if Kriti's condolence post is considered, he did.. that's why Sushant got the tag of being a philanderer.. yes.. there are countless reasons that could have led to the couple breaking up but then whenever a long term relationship breaks, media and fans do go batshit crazy which happened in Sushant's case

Ayushman can hardly be called a philanderer.. he is married and has not been linked to anyone

I agree with the bankable star bit. Also, I think, to some extent he follows the Akki template of staying in audience memory- multiple movies of similar genre, project the all Indian wholesome desi image. During the lockdown he did something called ‘Koki speaks’? And now with dropping Oppo, he def works hard to be known as desi, hardworking,bankable star.

He also has very strong PR, who work super hard to captalize the tween/ youth age group.
