Tripti Dimri

Tripti Dimri won our hearts with her performance in Anushka Sharma's much-awaited Bulbbul which debuted on Netflix last week. Whether or not you've watched the supernatural horror movie, there's no way you haven't seen pictures of the enigmatic 'Badi Bahu' AKA Tripti Dimri.

Interestingly, Dimri's last Bollywood movie was Laila Majnu, in which she was paired opposite Avinash Tiwary, who plays her brother-in-law in Bulbbul. Dimri's debut movie was Poster Boys, which released in 2017.

As they say, third time lucky, this diva has certainly proved her mettle! Here's why we are in awe of her.

She Is Ready To Work Her Way To The Top

In an interview, Dimri said how, during the shooting of Laila Majnu, she would sit blank while her co-actor Avinash Tiwary would discuss details with the director at great length. After the movie, she joined an acting workshop to learn the basics of acting and to understand the craft better.

She Isn't Afraid To Take Risks

Dimri has been quoted as saying that she was pretty shy as a child, but she started facing her fears while she was in college. This led to modelling and acting opportunities for her.

She Is Down To Earth

While she's understandably excited about all the adulation and attention coming her way, Dimri is happy that her work is being appreciated, in addition to that of others who worked on the movie.

She Is A Stunner

Just look at her pictures! Isn't she gorgeous?

She Has Amazing Style

While she looked regal decked up in fineries as a thakurain in Bulbbul, this diva carries eclectic outfits with grace and style.

Its been so long since we've had a good actress that has the charm, the screen presence, great dialogue delivery AND is pretty. She better get some good offers now.

I have been following the news surrounding her for weeks now but it doesn't seem like she is getting many scripts. I guess during quarantine the industry is still worried about saving lives among other things than getting future scripts ready. God knows when they will even be allowed to shoot for movies again.

She is damn pretty & good actress!

Watched the film & didn't even realise she's the girl who gave replay to "Pyaar Ka Punchnama" monologue. She was awesome in that.

Also, I watched Laila Majnu recently.

Its a good film. Avinash & Tripti look so cute together

Tripti is amazing and deserves all the accolades she’s getting. I feel a little bad for Avinash though. He acted so spectacularly in Laila Majnu and didn’t get the level of appreciation he should have got. If only Laila Majnu was streaming on Netflix it would have grabbed more eyeballs.

Agreed! He did get a lot of praise though for Laila Majnu and also is in The Girl on the Train. He needs to do more movies though. He isnt even conventionally good looking but when he's on screen, he totally draws you in.
