Sara became famous fairly before her debut release and it had nothing to do with her acting ability or lack of.
Neither was it because she was Saif and Amrita's daughter. True her parentage did spur the initial curiosity but later on her popularity was largely because of herself.
She came across as extremely intelligent , articulate and witty in her interviews, something that Bollywood nepo kids have grossly lacked thus far. Secondly, she had an amazing sense of humor that bordered on self-deprecation at times. Her education from an "Ivy League" institution also added to her resume..
She never showed any princess-sy kinds of tantrums and came across as extremely humble, grounded and relatable.
Her answer "It is better to have two happy homes instead of one unhappy house", probably got her the highest brownie point. Her takes on nepotism, relationship with her step mom and brother solidified her image as a sensible, sorted person despite her lineage.
Buzzes abound that her humble and sensible "image" is one that is carefully curated. Could be. But that doesn't take away intelligence and eloquence and worldly-wise aura that seems like a by-product of her education.
But oh yeah!!! her latest movie did prove she is nothing great as an actress.
