Was there any hype over her ?

Coz she was well educated and funny in her interviews but her acting is not impressive. It’s weird. Probably she was only decent in Kedarnath but Love Aaj Kal was horrible. I m used to like her but that soon diminished. Lets see how far she goes. Imagine next movie of here is coolie no 1 like who the hell would want to even watch that. All her classiness is gone down the drain.

I praised her for articulation skills. Rarely do we see intelligent people in Bollywood. But I realize now that that was giving nepotism and the buzz you get by being on KWK a privilege that didn’t deserve. If Sushant had been invited on their people would have noticed his intellect and paid attention to his works more. Even if he wasn’t articulate as possible his intellect shined through in speeches he gave at universities on how to get ahead through hard work.

Her work was good and confident as a newcomer in Kedarnath. Couldn’t finish Love Aaj Kal and haven’t seen Simba. But it wasn’t a particularly challenging part either. And features wise there are plenty of prettier girls I see on a daily basis. She is masculine looking somewhat from the face.

I also liked the fact that she was humble enough to say Sushant was more knowledgeable than her. She doesn’t come across snooty like some other star kids. But that can be said about Jhanvi too.

yes there was.

Found her cool at first but after her pRiNcEsS bakwaas PR articles putting down Kartik/Sushant, and her scratching off black lives matter thing, she's just another overhyped starkid

She's still easily the most popular newcomer and probably even the biggest female debut of the last decade in terms of acceptance. People really liked her in Kedarnath and Simmba songs. A lot of the youth relate to her as a person as well...her weight loss journey, desiness, education, etc. LAK wasn't good so that was a bit of a blow to her but she has Coolie and Atrangi Re coming up to prove herself.

I still wonder how quick her PR was to get a popular troll's post deleted which could've damaged her career since that was on his acting skill.
