Fair point. She should do more or should have done more to make MAMI about movies and not Alia and her in laws. I’m not sure if this is really about her husband or more the fact that she didn’t want to rock the KJo boat too much. One reason he’s been able to get away with his crap for so long is because of the power he holds. He may not be a good filmmaker but he’s definitely been a good networker and one who monopolized the industry for the few powerful ones.

its the producers that have the power, kjo is the ceo of dharma which is one of the biggest and most influential production houses in bollywood. Deepika's next film is with dharma and she is also friends with kjo, so deepika doesn't want to upset him by calling him out about nepotism

all the trolling and bashing seems to have really upset kjo, he unfollowed nearly everyone on twitter and now he quits MAMI

It's not like he really used twitter. It was just to write fake praise for other people's films and put up posters and promos.

His real activity happens on instagram where he continues to follow hundreds of people.

I think he wants people to believe that he's affected so they will move on and leave him alone and get on with their lives. If they feel they were successful in hurting Karan, their job will be done and they will get bored and go away.

I see that he was used to people jumping to his defence and lick his boots. That's why he was comfortable enough to joke about nepotism and continued to launch mediocre talent after Alia and Varun.
