Yes, agree completely. I remember the time, TV was bought in our house, the excitement of watching color Tv and the shows on DD, I mean amazing, it was a wholehearted family affair. Everyone gathered to watch a show, the best part of it was there wasn't any need for censorship, everyone could watch it.

Be it Yeh jo Hai Zindagi, Udaan, Nukkad, Circus, Buniyaad, Humlog, Sukanya, Malgudi Days, Ramayan, Mahabharata, Lifeline, Karamchand, Wagle ki Duniya, Why I yogi, Mungerilal ke Haseen Sapne and many more. Every show had its charm, genre, and strong screenplay and story.

The worst part if you compare it with today's shows is that shows then were a lot more progressive both in thoughts and stories. Now the shows have just become tremendously regressive.

Even when private channels started, there were excellent progressive shows like Tara, Hasratein, Campus, Hip Hip Hurray, Just Mohabbat, etc.

Today's shows are worse in content, display, and presentation, even reality shows are rigged and plays like a drama with a script.
