Sushant did have a lot of fans since his TV days. After his Bolly debut he was the most promising star with the best line up among his contemporaries. Certain things didn't work out for him but he did have a successful career and had a kind of cult status on social media. Ayushman and Rkr weren't even close to his follower count till last year. Ayush finally got his well deserved hype after success of Andhadhundh and Badhai ho while Rkr is still not that popular but he was always considered a great actor and had a critical acclaim.In fact I would say he is a notch higher that Sushant and Ayushman when it comes to acting.

Anyway my point is people are downplaying his legacy which is bothering me a lot.Because when this circus of Nepotism blaming will die down people will only remember him as an actor who couldn't be a star when in reality he already was a star. It's just he was bad at PR. Even after success of Dhoni he wasn't able to market himself like Kartik did after Sonu ke titu ki sweety. While I agree Bollywood insiders and Gossip mongers were harsh on him but he was still very much relevant and If he was alive I am sure one day he would've gotten his due just on the basis of his sheer talent and hard work.

Ps: also I understand what people mean by saying he didn't have that popular status. Which I agree with. Even on TV he never had that crazy KSG kind of fandom. It's because he never appealed to that type of audience ( young teen girls) He was a very unconventional star who might be considered boring by the masses but once they get to know him closely they would've definitely admired him as he was very Likeable.

Hey you are not annoying and I am definitely NOT downplaying. Your PS is what I was precisely getting at. He never had that craze like KSG or Barun Sobti or Rajeev Khandelwal nor his shows are even discussed on TV twitter nor his seamless transition from tv to bw was even celebrated as much as it should have been. People even remember shows like kahin toh hoga, Kzk, KGGK etc which predated Pavitra Rishta but not the latter which shocks me. Even if they do, the discussions revolves around Ashvik. I also feel RKR is a tad better than Sush and I don't think highly of AK, he doesn't become the characters that he inhabits. He just plays himself in all the movies.

Anyway you are preaching to the choir here. I agree he was relevant and gave hits and critically acclaimed performances but the online hype was lacking.

Anyone seen komal nahta’s “the truth” video about SSR - its on youtube on his channel?.. clear image building for rhea.. wonder why? Almost like he is speaking on her behalf n painting a major movie sequence..already sounds fake.. I dont subscribe to the murder theory, he had depression- he stopped taking meds n had a fatal weak moment.. police is now fact finding here to piece the facts leading to his death thats all am sure..but the whitewashing of rhea n ssr relationship of that being the “fantastic- 200% caring girlfriend” words that nahta is using sounds soo false!! Its soo stupid.. he is talking like he was fly on the wall in their relationship in the last month or so.. I mean this is what people are talking about.. why still using media to build/break images!!! Why this false reporting?!?

He was learning coding and involved in designing a game. When the mind of person is involved in so many productive activities. Why would he give up ? Regarding depression in today's time who doesn't have depression. It does comes as murder.

I respect SSR's decision though , he probably didnt want to burden Rhea with his demons .. And that is such a noble thought .. But eventually it led to him taking his life making things even more complicated for the ones left behind .. If his actions before his death is anything to go by , I am sure SSR would be pained seeing the accusations and mudslinging happening for Rhea .. I dont think he intended it .. But suicides are messy like that and leave a lot of questions behind .. He is no more and he cannot answer these questions .. Lets see what comes out of the investigation ..

I don't blame Rhea for his suicide.. I think the main problem bus that people don't understand gravity of depression and how to deal with people suffering from it.. that's what I was wondering about.. I have always been saying Rhea or anyone for that matter canmot be blamed for whatever happened as of now

Day by Day it's coming off as a murder.

Yes..they do...if they know the person does not like them they try to avoid and dont speak much....but often they over react to people they like or when in spotlight dont know how to behave...they become over enthusiastic and over talkative

I hope they investigate and find out and just for his family's sake...I hope its a murder...so that atleast his family will get rid of any guilt they might be holding...like not being there...second guessing themselves and blaming themselves that what if....like what happens with the families of suicide victims...a lot of time the family blames themselves and lives with the guilt of not knowing or doing enough..

Suicide or murder....Sushant is gone....its just from a practical point of view...that murder might relieve his family of any guilt they might be having...of course the huge loss and pain will always be there.

The TV craze is always connected with imaging of fictional characters. The characters which Barun , KSG , Rajeev played were stylised , urban...they were made to look 'hot'. Sushant's Manav was a lower middle class garrage boy who was made to wear shabby clothes , a slight tan his face. Not the kinds young teenage girls would swoon over. Manav was no business tycoon or some rockstar. Even on TV what he played was so hatke but his show ended up with blockbuster trp like none...
