Was Sushant Out of Work?

Don’t hate me but....

He had multiple releases last year

Drive just came out Netflix but even some biggies are coming out on web now

he Had a film waiting for release

some say he was working with Ranjhnaa director on his next and had another film in his kitty

he obviously had work.

He wasn’t working with top stars but he was working.

which means his death isn’t due to being out of work

but is it due to not finding the kind of success that he wish he had or he thought he deserved?

Several nepo kids have failed as well - Arbaz, Sohail, Imran, Abhishek, Fardeen, Zayed.

Actors usually turn to suicide due to no opportunities but in this case it looks like it is due to not having the opportunities that he wanted.

karan Johar, Yasheaj they all have a right to choose who they wish to work with. And they both worked with Sushant. It just didn’t go well.

I think he was dissatisfied with his mediocrity..not work but success.Inspite of performing he wasn’t getting his name registered into the big league.Sid Arjun n Adi are more relevant than him..even though they suck in their work.But Sid n Adi bcoz of their good looks command a decent fan following.Maybe that was pinching him.Inspite of critical acclaims n box office success he want going anywhere.Just assuming.

This, and maybe some other personal issues. There are people who will forever try to undercut your success in life. Maybe he didn’t have the support system he needed.

He wanted to be where Ranveer/Ranbir are in terms of fame . Tho those 2 are just as trolled as much people like them

IMHO no one falls into depression or kills them self simply because they aren’t satisfied with the amount of success they have. You can arguably say if you compare from where he had to start off and where he ended. He arguably achieved more than them. They had a head start and didn’t have to start with television.

And it wasn’t Bollywood’s duty to help him succeed. They gavs him work. A lot is based on luck.

i feel he was depressed due to other reasons. Ws’ll never find out.

He was getting work, he was the lead actor in several movies, chichore, ms dhoni, kedarnath, sonchiriya, raabta, drive, dil bechara, even the two yrf movies he did he was the lead. Many nepo kids are not working or even work as supporting actors such abhishek, tusshar, zayed, even both of ranbirs cousins didn't make their mark in their debuts. I'm not saying he didn't go through any bias or struggle, I'm sure he did, but he did get many great opportunities aswell

There could have been many things that could have contributed to his depression, his work, personal life, the fact that he was alone and needed support, he was going through mental illness and he needed medical help

Completely agree with you.

A step like this doesn't come from just one arena of life not being upto the mark. There's a lot that piles up to block the throat and the next breadth is harder to take. All I feel is it doesn't happen in a day and things of this momentum doesnt happen in a moment. Even if its only work then also its needs to be of serious things that happened to him that we might never come to know of. Or maybe its there in his journal ( hope his family releases it). Just being out of work isn't something that might have taken his life. But then again mine is also a speculation like most others.
