I might be silly in thinking this but does anyone else sense a revolution coming?
I was always against nepotism but to be honest I never really bothered about it that much as it wasn’t affecting me personally in anyway. But after this incident with SSR I am finding myself increasingly upset and very angry with the industry for functioning the way it does. That’s me. On social media , everywhere the anger against film industry insiders is palpable and dissent seems to be growing. People are speaking out like never before. Not just aam junta or SSR fans, I can see so many well known people coming out of woodworks for condoning how this industry works and all that is wrong with it although they’re not directly taking any names.
I hope something positive comes out of all this and poor Sushant’s death will not go in vain.
No, its not silly. I am not fan of anyone from bollywood, but Sushant's death was an eye-opener. Why to follow certain xyz persons, when they do no good for your own mental and personal being ?
What did we gain from checking Taimur's posts and making him popular ? - Kareena replying rudely that some scrunchie doll cannot be my son !! That doll would merely cost Rs. 100 bucks and could bring food in some household. Instead of being appreciative about the fact that her son is giving livelihood, is loved by fans, brings revenue from instagram...here is Her Highness Kareena Kapoor Khan, being so grateful..that it makes me hurl chappals at her.
Solution - What i feel...what are we getting by engaging and constantly monitoring these nepo kids ? Envying Sonam's fancy lifestyle ? Thinking how lucky Alia and Ananya are ? Wondering how much Arjun earns ? Looking how posh karan's home is and his dining table is ? Better to unfollow them and start looking at our immediate lives, our immediate families. No need to put 100-200 rs on a ticket of a movie start who doesnt have a ounce of gratitude (read - Karan Johar, Kareena, Ananya, Ranveer, Ranbir, Alia, Arjun, Sonam, Sonakshi...the list goes on).
I did unfollow them and it feels great. I have no interest to watch their movies too yay!
