Personal parameter of success depends on your choice of content/actor/actress etc while product success depends on commercial success ....

A films success is usually judged by bo. If it is appreciated it will do well

I judge an actors success by critical acclaim and praise based on acting. BO for actors is judgement based on the level of opportunity/luck and has nothing to do with talent. They may get a good film but their level of cooperation is always their acting.

Also stars with BO success may eventually fade away in the long run if they don’t have any talent or screen presence so a star who lasts longer despite their bo numbers is more successful to me.

to answer your question, any film that is well received content wise is successful to me even if it does not do well in theatres. Like the sky is pink for ex

Yeah but sometimes you get paradoxical reactions also. As I was saying, Houseful 4 was not well-received by audience reaction, yet it minted money. All the reviews I saw on social media were negative, but the movie did get a lot of footfalls. So such instances confuse me.

For me it's different, I don't care who the actor is if I find the trailer good or bad. This actually works in favour of me because I never have any permanent favourite actor or actress. Lol 😂 Keeps on changing. For me content matters the most..

Though, one thing is there with me that if I like any actor or actress, I do try the trailer of that particular actor or actress, that's one thing. 😂

That's d way it should be 😊

Content is THE most important factor, but in Bollywood content and stars go hand in hand

there is a thing called peer pressure. There are many people who enjoy movies, but don't outright say it fearing ridicule.

For example Phir Hera Pheri, for long people made it like it was utter trash, but as time has gone, it is now one of the most loved movies of the current generation.

same is true is about movies which are overhyped, every one overhypes a movie, anyone with different views, tend to try to adjust his or her views in a more favourable manner.

What about people who dont tweet or post that are loving it. If a film is an event film and collects on hype that hype over after day 1. TOH, Besharam so many examples of this. HF3 didnt suffer any crash so it must be well received.

Yeah that’s why bo doesn’t necessarily mean the film is good, it is just what interests the audience. It is kritis biggest hit for example but for me i consider bareilly ki barfi or luka chuppi to be more successful for her despite making less money. More people appreciate those films ott vs a housefull
