Amitabh Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabo Will Cut Across Geographic Boundaries

Amitabh Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabo becomes the first Bollywood biggie to bite the bait, gears up for direct-to-web release on Amazon Prime.

After much speculation, Amazon Prime confirmed the premiere of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Gulabo Sitabo on the streaming giant.

"This is the dawn of a new era for Indian entertainment," says director Shoojit Sircar. "I am happy that a global audience will be able to watch our gritty, quirky and light-hearted dramedy." The film is expected to screen in over 200 countries on June 12.

This coronavirus is changing the lifestyle of people. I can imagine digital platforms getting much more boost in future and future of cinema halls and theaters might be at stake. Still, there would be people who would go to theaters but once the people become comfortable watching movies on digital platforms especially amidst this busy life, cinema halls might not get the same crowd.
