Right now, it's just a comp. between Alia and Deepika!!

I would say, comp. between Alia and Deepika is at an all-time high and the top spot is up for grabs. If Gangubai and Sadak 2 work, Alia will finally claim the top spot as her own. If they tank, Deepika is still the reigning queen, despite and I repeat despite, the debacle of Chapaak.

No other actress comes close to this duo. Katrina, Kareena and Shraddha do have raw star power, but nowhere close to these 2 currently.

Taapsee, Kangana, Parineeti and Vidya are talented, but do not have enough star power. They do have interesting films lined up, though.

Kriti, Kiara, Ileana and Yami are still struggling.

Disha has raw star appeal, but lacks talent.

So, the comp. between Alia and Deepika is all heated up, and fans are going to have to debate about these two only.

These two are very different in where they are at in their careers. Alia is an emerging star, meaning she is at the peak of her career and where her films and their fate is the uttermost important. Same with her contemporaries. Actually I don’t understand why her contemps are undermined? A flop for alia and a success for them/a good performance will give them a push for their level of stardom too. To say these are the only two battling out? Well I disagree. PR and popularity from media does not always equate to BO imo. she may be the best right now on the basis of what we have seen, but that doesn’t make her the best in the long run.

Deepika has surpassed her peak and is in her sustainability phase, where she is constantly trying to Match up to that 2013-2014 phase. She is lucky because no one has matched up to that yet. It’s a difficult match, even if alia surpasses it..i wouldn’t consider it an equal match only because alia is a consistent successful performer who has been deemed a star since soty seriously. That phase of deepikas is almost unmatchable.
