Instead of kareena,the glamour girl,Rani the natural beauty wud've been better with Ajay in Omkara in d innocent girl's role

I think Kareena suited the character. Even in Othello , the heroine is supposed to be very fair and beautiful as opposed to the hero who is supposed to be very dark.Physically they are opposites which is what Vishal Bharadwaj has tried to do in Omkara too.
Kareena was with minimal makeup thru out the movie and still looked nice. She did good.

AGREED... KAREENA IS FAIR IN CONTRAST TO RANI.. RANI IS DARK WOULD NOT HAVE SUITED THE STORYLINE AND KAREENA IS NOT BAD AS ACTRESS EITHER😛

Kareena was perfectly cast. In the original Desdomina was a light skinned beauty against the Dark skinned Othello. Rani would have made Sheik Peer turn in his grave and the movie would have been black. 😉

She wud definitely had done a gud job, but Rani and Ajay looks pretty gud on screen, and I dont think dat will create a situation wr Ajay's character has to feel insecure abt Rani's characters beauty...
