How is it privileged? Other actors have gotten their awards ahead of time. Alia actually wasted her time and came to the show and that too you can bet is because they wanted to get some clips of her to insert into the show. Hardly anyone attended so I'm sure they worked it out with her that she should at least dress up and come get the award. This way they can use her in their ads and pretend she was there.

It was actually really foolish of her to accommodate them. She shouldn't have come because now it's going to be painted in a bad way just for her when all the categories are compromised. She will catch all the flak while others get away with it.

Get the award in advance without waiting for her slot in the evening is not special privilege? These actors anyways know their time slots and they come in that very brief period , pose , recieve the awards and leave... they anyways barely stay...And those who send in videos don't care to come anyways...

Ofcourse she demanded for this special arrangement and got it how she wanted it...Glad she is getting the flak ...lol at her manager asking it to be put out later 😆

Isn't it possible that she couldn't make it for any of the slot during live awards? And the organisers wanted her to be there..better than not bothering to come at all and sending video recording

Aur jis bandi ko awards se koi lena dena nahi hai..jiski behen in awards ko koi bhaav nahi dene ki baat karti hai..why is she following updates on awards? Din raat social media par guzaarti hai to get updates on things her sister claims to not care about

She obviously wasn't going to come because she was busy at that time so they worked it out that she could come get it earlier. It doesn't help her at all. The only people it helps are the organizers and the channel because they can show that one celebrity was there by inserting some clips of her. There were barely 2 real celebs at that awards show. They needed Alia to help make it look a little better.

She should learn her lesson from this. It would be privilege if she was gaining something from coming in early to get her award. What does she get? Nothing.

Actors are given awards ahead of time sometimes. It's nothing new. If they're not going to attend, they make a little video from wherever they are thanking the show and sometimes they're already holding their trophy. The only difference is that Alia actually came and picked it up right before, probably because they wanted to shoot some quick videos of her that they can later insert in the show pretending that she was actually there. Nobody goes to awards shows anymore so they are always faking it. Even if someone comes for 5 minutes, they insert their image over and over again for 3 hours acting like they were there to show there was a good attendance.

She shot herself in the foot by this. She should not have come at all. Nobody cares about Star Screen awards anyway. Even the actors themselves only brag about Filmfares eventually.

No, awards are not given ahead of time, they are given only after they are announced on the event day which is collected by someone on behalf of them. Then they go to their place and record a video and keep it ready in time for telecast and only that's when it's played for the TV vieweing audience since telecast is usually almost after a month from event. Talking about Indian award functions though

That is my point in short...special arrangement chalked out for her...Alia basically wanted the best arrangement worked out - wants to be there but not later , only sending video would mean no photo ops and receiving award moments ...so let's work it out all...lol!
