Sonu is technically a better singer.

But Kumar and Udit were more charismatic singers. Imagine Sonu singing Pehla Nasha or Sonu singing Dheere Dheere. He wouldn't have brought that joie de vivre that they were capable of.

However, when it comes to pitch and note, Sonu is definitely superior to the two. When it comes to bringing life to a song, nobody beats Udit Narayan from the modern era.

You do have a point, but I have wondered if this has to do with sound engineering, screen magic and less to do with their talent. I have never attended a kumar Sanu concert, but have heard sonu and Udit live ...sonu is far far superior in even making the crowds go wild, in fact Udit was successful in bringing down his own songs. Maybe Kumar Sanu is better on stage ? Or maybe it was just a bad day for Udit?

I have heard all three live and events, shows etc. Sonu of course sounds the best. He is the youngest as well. Uditji's voice hasn't aged. Sanu da sounds the worst of the lot. He goes off pitch alot and his voice shakes. The nasal twang he always had has increased. But interestingly Jolly Mukherjee and Abhijeet are damn good till date. Abhijeet doesn't go off pitch at all. Same energy as the 90s.

Alkaji sounds aged all of a sudden. Sadhana Sargam sounds great and so does Poornima. All three sing at lower keys now, especially Alkaji. Sadhana Sargam still manages to sing the original key. However Anuradha Paudwal live is next level. She sounds the same and very melodious. Same with Chandana Dixit who sang few songs in the 90s. I saw a YouTube clip of her singing few new songs as well. She sounds great.
