It is filmmakers choice who they want to work with star kids or outsiders.thier money their choice.
It ain't just nepotism or even grabbing chances from outsiders.
It was there before, too. But for a Shammi Kapoor, there was Rajesh Khanna. For a Rishi, there was Amitabh. For Karisma and Kajol, there were Juhi and Madhuri. For Salman and Aamir, there were SRK and Akshay.
KJo, though, actively works to undermine outsiders only to promote his cronies. The moment one of the non-industry actors seems to be a bit of threat to an insider, the rumours start... drunkenness, drug addiction, price problems, unprofessional behaviour, affairs, etc. AND he gets the industry folks to silently consent. Remember the Ranbir or Ranveer, Alia or Parineeti, etc etc questions from his show? He goes to other directors and strong-arms them via financiers to hire his little pets.
In a country of 1+ billion people, it is impossible that no one has talent except KJo cronies. Also, it is not nepotism precisely, it is cronyism. Within the industry insiders, there is someone like Shraddha. She may not be talented, but she has the IT factor. The insiders don't give her time of the day, mostly. So yeah, cronyism, not nepotism.

Its cause they suck and whine when they fail š¤£
Because they are closing the industry. Good scripts and projects are taken by star kids leaving next to nothing for others. Star kids get unlimited opportunities so by the law of averages, one film will somehow work.
The audience is left with limited choice. In the end they had to accept Varun Dhawan for what he is.
B/c everyone else in life has to get someone on their own merit and yeah get the argument that after the first film, it's all an equal playing field. Which isn't true at all.
Think about all the products of nepotism that get countless chances before they don't get work and there's literally tons of more qualified and more talented people that can't even get their foot in the door.
The part that annoys me is when they refuse to audition for a role. I remember reading that about Kareena onces and irked me the wrong way since literally everyone has to go through the audition phase to get the actually part.
For me, itās heartbreaking to know that under-talented, over-privileged people get opportunities that others train for and dream of endlessly, but will never receive. We the audience never get to see these āoutsidersā and have no other choice but to contribute to the increasing wealth and fame of a select few.
