But this is not true at all is it. You're talking about 2018 films. What about 2017 films, he had a half-decent Jagga Jasoos - but he didn't walk away with "all the accolades". It was Irrfan Khan and Rajkummmar Rao who took the glory.
Same with 2016. He was more than half-decent in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil - in fact, his was my favourite male performance of the year, but sadly he didn't win all the awards. It was all about Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
Looking at 2015 it's the same as above. Tamasha was probably my favourite performance of that year too, and yet although he was nominated, he simply DID NOT WIN ANYTHING. It was ALL about Ranveer Singh and Amitabh Bachchan that year.
2014 he didn't have an eligible film. 2013, yes he was nominated for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani but he didn't win babe so no.
