Just found out OMG is heavily based on the 2001 Australian film " The man who sued God" 😆
Geez is there anything original in BW? OMG is one of my fav films and now I am just disappointed.

OMG was an adaptation of a Gujarati theatre show which was an adaptation of Australian drama.
What else do you expect from copywood 😆
And pK was a copy of OMG apparently😆. It's a never ending cycle
Even Sholay was a copy
I think sub continent itself is a center of plagiarism ..everyone is copying from everywhere...
May be it was. But how they adopted it was brilliant. and It was far far better than PK.Just found out OMG is heavily based on the 2006 Australian film " The man who sued God" 😆

I liked OMG a lot. The spiritual connotations especially. But what is saddening is the direct copy w/o credit. And here i was thinking the plot was the brainchild of the writer. Smh
It was an official copy of a Gujarati play. Ab ye nahi maalum wo play kahaan se uthaya.😆

I think you are mistaken, OMG credited the Australian show and the Gujurati show on which it was based on, hence it won best adapted Screenplay in National awards and not original screenplay.
They bought the official rights, it wasn't a cheap copy.

I just checked wiki and yeah there is mention of that. But I had no idea..all the while I thought it was an original piece. Good on them if proper credits were placed.
