What attracts producers towards Sushant Singh Rajput

He debuted in 2012 feb in kai poche..and after that we saw him being signed immediately by YashRaj Films, and for other movies of UTV Motion pictures. His cameo in Rajkumar Hirani film PK, His close proximity with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, His first big blockbuster MS dhoni, and then his equation of Dinesh Vijan and kriti sanon.He bagging a film opposite jacqueline under Dharma Productions...and now chichore.

Quite a roll coaster but in this career till now, i dont think he has shown any growth. He is presented by the media and his PR as the new aamir khan, the god of acting.To be honest his acting is good but it was the same as he was in pavitra rishta. Sushant hasnt played that kind of roles that highlight acting prowess. Like Ranveer as Khilji or Ranbir in rockstar, ayushmaan in andhahdhun, or shahid in kabir singh. MS dhoni was good movie driven by script and fandom of dhoni not performance of actors.

SUPRISING FACTOR

What was astinoshing when YRF, SLB, UTV, VVC in his initial days were backing him. They all offered him plenty movies while he imitating like perfectionist aamir rejected many and wanted to show himself as an actor hungry for acting not stardom. Astonishing factor for me was i can guarantee there are much sexy , hot, seductive, handsome actors in TV industry and whose acting are much more expressive than sushant's. SSR is not at all visually appealing. God knows what the industry saw in him and usko sar par baitha diya.
My point is if bollywood wants to pick out actors from TV industry, there are plenty deserving ones. but why was he supported by 6-7 bollywood big wigs and for so long. It was a huge thing then in 2012.
Recently Mohit raina is one deserving face from life ok channel who ventured in movies through URI. Then Karan Kundra, Karan wahi, Ritwik Dhanjani, Sharad Malhotra are much better looking than him.
Few years back Siddharth from colors debuted with Humpty sharma ki Dulhani. He was also a good face but no backing.

Whenever i see him i feel some better actor deserves that place. Its still a mystery why bollywood rallied around him because he had what which other Tv actors had infact other tv actors had much better face than him. Whatever be may his latest film be hit as its directed by a talented director N tiwari and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson entertaintment.

To some extent I agree because I too believe that he's not that exceptional in his performances. I liked him in Kai po che but Amit Saad was equally good. MS Dhoni became a blockbuster, no doubt about it, but let's admit we all know it's success had more to do with MS dhoni rather than SSR. But one can also not deny the fact that SSR still acts better than his TV contemporaries who made debut in BW these last few years and failed miserably. It might be because of the choices of the script too. SSR did get a huge backing from the industry when he debuted, I'm not really sure why but he did utilized his opportunities well. Rajeev had a critically acclaimed debut but he failed with his choices of scripts too. Besides, I also feel there was a huge curiosity about SSR regarding how intelligent he was, dropped out of last year of his engineering college, one of the top rankers in AIEEE. I still can't forget how in every interview he was asked about this. But I'm again not sure what exactly worked for him except for the things I mentioned above.

@bold seriously???😲 None of them looks better than him frankly including that Siddharth Nigam. Kundra is a terrible actor and so is Nigam. In some other topic, this is what we were discussing why TV actors fail on big screen. Acting chops has to be the biggest reasons after nepotism. Though I do agree with what you said about Mohit Raina. The guy is good looking and is actually a talented actor. He didn't fail to make an impression with his small role in Uri. I just hope he gets good roles and not some side kick kinda roles. I don't want him to be ignored and sidelined for the fact he is a good actor. Much much better than the ones you mentioned @bold in terms of acting and looks.

I think it's because Sushant has a somewhat better sense of script. Actors like Karan Kundra, Karan Singh Grover, Karan Vir Bohra, Karan Wahi, Jay Bhanushali, etc might be arguably better looking than SSR but they went with these crap Bhatt camp horror or erotic films.

Rajeev also hasn't been lucky with what he picked up. Sushant started very strong with Kai Po Che and was immediately signed to YRF where he had Shudh Desi Romance (another hit or semi-hit). He got a chance to work with Raju Hirani and Aamir as cameo in PK and then came Dhoni. For him, one thing led to another.

When TV actors debuting in Bollywood fail to make it big, we shame them...someone like Sushant who is still surviving and looking to have a relevant career is shamed ...in short come what may, TV actors will be shamed and questioned if they dare to dream to have a Bolly career..

And yes everybody knows MS Dhoni the film did the business coz of Dhoni but are you really kidding me that Sushant wasn't good in the film?From emulating his cricketing shots to little body gestures ...he got it all right and it's not easy at all..infact the film's screenplay and direction received criticism but Sushant walked away with glorious praises...
